Planets in Politics
Weekly Astrology Notes September 25 – October 2, 2016
Notes: Times shown in Pacific Daylight Time (PDT)
This week there is a separate video for politics called “Planets on Politics – End of September 2016”. Lots of politics in that video. Please check it out if you haven’t already. There is one item I should have included in that video, Donald Trump on 9/26. So I have included it at the end of this video.
I hope everyone enjoyed this past weeks’ pleasant aspects. Mercury trine Pluto was fantastic for getting tons of work done. The week ahead is intense and sobering, but the weekend is good to relax and reflect.
Interesting Stories: Tim Kaine, VP Democratic candidate, introducing his chart and transits. Donald Trump, unfortunately faces a rather malefic transit on 9/26.
Sunday: A Jovial Sunday. Sun conjunct Jupiter (Libra) and great Moon aspects means we are all looking for a party and to expand our relationships today.
Monday: Rather intense and sullen day. Pluto goes Direct means the forces of transformation and intensity move forward. Saturn square the Moons’ Nodes means it’s a time of therapy and introspection, not emotional gratification. And Venus semi-sextile Jupiter means we are extra nice to others and avoid confrontation.
Tuesday: Mars enters Capricorn and slows down the ego to build something to last. Venus semi-sextile Sun brings finesse and greater intellectual awareness. Moon is Void of Course from early morning until the afternoon.
Wednesday: Deep emotional needs come to the surface. Heavy Moon day.
Thursday: Extended Void of Course lasts all day from early morning until early Friday morning. Good day for meditation and reflection, not a day for starting new projects.
Friday: New Moon brings creativity, sensitivity, warmth and compassion. Balance, diplomacy and receptivity are the theme for the coming month.
Saturday: Low energy. A relaxing, dreamy and impressionistic Saturday with Venus trine Neptune in water signs. The evening is great for a drum circle with Mercury opposition Chiron.
Sunday: Another extended Void of Course lasts all day from late Saturday evening until Sunday afternoon. Good day for meditation and reflection, not a day for starting new projects. However, Mercury quincunx Uranus could bring some surprises.
A Jovial Sunday. Sun conjunct Jupiter (Libra) and great Moon aspects means we are all looking for a party and to expand our relationships today.
6:48am – Moon enters Leo. Emotional needs on stage for the next couple days. A bit dramatic, selfish, but willing to share the stage. Moon in Leo is enthusiastic and romantic and really wants to be recognized.
11:36pm – Moon (Leo) square Venus (Scorpio) Despite the square, it is still a generally positive aspect.
12:33pm – Moon (Leo) sextile Sun (Libra) Emotions flow smoothy, sympathetic toward other people. The last sextile before the New Moon is always really easy going and good for a social gathering.
1:14pm – Moon (Leo) sextile Jupiter (Libra) Generous attitude towards others.
11:59pm – Sun conjunct Jupiter (Libra). This is the day that Jupiter in Libra becomes fully activated. Sun conjunct Jupiter (Libra) means we are all looking to expand our relationships today. Everyone wants an abundance of attention from their partner. Partners are very generous towards one another. Everyone’s relationship takes center stage in their life right now. If you don’t have one, it’s a good time to expand and learn the congenial qualities that lead to one.
We’ll see more makeup and dress up than usual as folks are wanting to look their best. People are more happy, jovial (Jupiter), Excellent aspect for a wedding. Any relationship that begins today is sure to work out well and give both of you room to grow as well as giving you a new identity.
This is also the day that Jupiter officially arrives in the sign of Libra with all that placement implies. We all need to grow through partnerships over the course of the coming year. Going it alone will not get you the results you are looking for in life. You really need to work with others.
Once again, let me remind my viewers that Venus in Scorpio takes on special significance now because Venus rules Libra and whatever happens to Venus happens to all the planets currently in the sign of Libra. So, if you lack a relationship due to poor maintenance of your emotional body, then it will become rather clear today. This is because you are going to really open up and perceive (Sagittarius) many things about yourself (Sun) and if your feelings (Venus) are not up to the task of guiding you through this moment, then you’ll feel like something is missing. The thing to do is don’t shy away from others now. Use this opportunity to learn how to be emotionally available for others without inhibition. A strong expression of your diplomacy will go a long way.
This aspect brings good luck and opportunity. Any activity to expand your mind and your perspective is favored. Group activities are the best. Look for a party or have one yourself.
Rather intense and sullen day. Pluto goes Direct means the forces of transformation and intensity move forward. Saturn square the Moons’ Nodes means it’s a time of therapy and introspection, not emotional gratification. And Venus semi-sextile Jupiter means we are extra nice to others and avoid confrontation.
3:34am – Moon (Leo) trine Saturn (Sagittarius) Early morning, emotions are calm, instinct is to get to work.
7:59am – Pluto goes Direct at 14d53′ Capricorn. A powerful event. When Pluto goes Direct, the forces of transformation move into action. The retrograde period is like a volcano building pressure, and the Direct motion releases that pressure. For transits, final resolution can occur any time between the day of Direct Motion and the last pass. So any Pluto transits awaiting their last pass are now ripe. We’re going to see a lot of final resolution during this forward motion period which lasts until April 20, 2017 when Pluto will reach 19d24′ Capricorn. Changes that have been brewing during the Retrograde period are now ready to move forward. We are living in an era of transformation (Pluto) of authority (Capricorn) and this is one of the climax moments in that overall process.
In retrospect, we could say that this retrograde period has been a time of intense concentration, looking in depth, and ultimately transforming (Pluto) our thinking process (Mercury) for the better (trine). In Capricorn, we have all forced ourselves, once an for all, to gain some maturity in our thinking process and master a greater degree of control over our thoughts, consciously (Mercury) forcing (Pluto) the negative thoughts out. We have been addressing anger issues and learning to heal them. We have been able to count on others to help us transform our lives for the better. And some have experienced a transformed relationship with their siblings (Mercury). Now on Direct motion, we see the fruits of those labors ready to emerge. The stronger, more masterful mental attitude and inner transformation are now ready to emerge. The death experience is now followed by a rebirth.
For more details and what this means in politics, please see my previous video.
8:20am – Venus (Scorpio) semi-sextile Jupiter (Libra) An often overlooked and poorly understood aspect, the semi-sextile has some profound, yet subtle qualities. It is a Taurus/Pisces aspect. Taurus says “I own”, while the action of Pisces is to dissolve. So, each planet feels like it owns the other planet and the boundary between the two dissolves. The result is the planets melt into one another, they unify. Particularly so in this case as Jupiter is in Libra, Venus’ ruling sign.
So what happens in this case, is the Venus function (to balance) and the Jupiter function (to expand) become one. For most folks, the result is effusive congeniality, attempting to be the perfect host, or partner and generally just going way over board to please or help someone, a lot of superficiality. But it also makes for an excellent martial arts mindset, because you expand (Jupiter) in unison (semi-sextile) with your opponent (Venus). This aspect provides deep insight into what others perceive. Particularly so because Venus is in Scorpio, which likes to probe deeply on any matter. If you can hold back from trying to be shallowly agreeable, you will delicately (Libra) perceive (Jupiter) the world around, like a martial arts expert. This is the first of two semi-sextiles I will talk about this week.
Saturn squares the Moons’ Nodes. Transits to the Moon’s Node have a subtle and powerful effect on the psyche. We see limitation on a collective level causing us to revisit the boundaries of our collective psychological state. We contract. A moment of mass therapy when our emotions slow to a crawl and our instincts move towards intense self-preservation (Saturn). We are now able to view our own insecurities with more maturity because we retract from our polarity. We now face a crisis to restructure our collective psyche. In the process we throw away that which is no longer useful and we inhibit those people whose perspectives (Sagittarius) are out of touch with our collective emotional needs. It looks like a moment of collective karma is upon us. So, right now, there is a lot of personal judgment that we are all putting ourselves through and there is probably no one who isn’t feeling like they are in therapy right now.
My suggestion is to eat properly and take care of your physical needs. Avoid stress or anything that takes you off your center.
Mars enters Capricorn and slows down the ego to build something to last. Venus semi-sextile Sun brings finesse and greater intellectual awareness. Moon is Void of Course from early morning until the afternoon.
1:08am – Mars enters Capricorn. In that sign until November 10. Whenever a planet enters Capricorn it is like a car driving down a dirt road and suddenly the road turns to mud. It slows the planet down and redirects it’s energy for purposes of self-preservation, achieving personal goals and career building. For Mars the effect is very good because it forces the quick burst of Mars energy to become a sustained drive that lasts much longer. Mars does not fatigue as quickly as it does in other signs so it can accomplish a lot more. Mars is exalted in Capricorn because here the ego gets to build something that lasts a long time and it gets respect. Mars in Capricorn is industrious and always successful if you put out the effort. Here the ego gains maturity. We all act more mature now and because Mars says “I am” and Capricorn is responsible, so every says “I am responsible” now. Mars initiates the process of restructuring (Capricorn) in your life. The ego aligns with better judgment, rather than radical idealism, so brash egotistic behavior is cast aside and people put their energy into things they hope are going to last.
Check to see where Capricorn sits in your chart, which house and which planets. During this time those areas of your life (Houses) and those processes (Planets) experience a burst of sustained energy meant to help you strengthen and preserve what is good in your life. So everyone should put some effort into success during this time. Build something to last. I have noticed in my life that whenever I purchase something during a good Mars-Capricorn combination, it lasts a very long time.
1:52am – Moon (Leo) trine Uranus (Aires) Middle of the night. Void of Course begins.
10:20am -Venus (Scorpio) semi-sextile Sun (Libra) In this aspect we see Venus and the Sun melt into one, or unify. The effect is much like the previous semi-sextile (Libra-Scorpio). Very congenial, agreeable behavior. The Sun is in it’s detriment in Libra and with this aspect to Venus, the result is a lot of Venus energy on the Sun. So people are very shy, inhibited, and need encouragement to get going. Not a good time to confront someone. Everyone is a perfectionist. Sensitive, delicate, beautiful. Excellent aspect for all intellectual pursuits. The mind is very receptive to nuance and deeper meaning.
2:43pm – Moon enters Virgo. Moon enters a persistent, active phase, seeking correction and improved health. Instinct is to relax and enjoy the earth energy, but subtle forces compel us forward.
3:27pm – Moon (Virgo) trine Mars (Capricorn) Good energy for physical activity and labor. Feels good to work hard.
Deep emotional needs come to the surface. Heavy Moon day.
1:46am – Moon (Virgo) sextile Venus (Scorpio) Middle of the night, good for sex. Folks really want to help one another meet specific affectional needs.
9:47am – Moon (Virgo) opposition Neptune (Pisces) Many folks will walk with their heart one foot in front of their chest, so be careful not to run into someone too hard. Don’t be too shy to cry and let it out. This aspect makes us want to search for lost souls and help them. Aspect can send your heart far beyond normal, safe boundaries. Be careful not to absorb someone’s pain. Makes the heart very tender and compassionate. Folks are extra sensitive. Carry tissues.
12:42pm – Moon (Virgo) square Saturn (Sagittarius) Feeling disappointed and not able to see why. Life seems tough. Stick to one thing and try to find satisfaction with it.
7:42pm – Moon (Virgo) trine Pluto (Capricorn) Even though it’s a trine, can be disruptive and a bit demanding as we seek a better situation. Bring up sexual desire as we seek to be helpful through fulfillment of deep emotional needs.
Extended Void of Course lasts all day from early morning until early Friday morning. Good day for meditation and reflection, not a day for starting new projects.
3:05am – Moon conjunct Mercury (Virgo) Middle of the night. Mind becomes very active, very conscious of our instincts, good for driving. Void of Course begins and lasts all day long.
New Moon brings creativity, sensitivity, warmth and compassion. Balance, diplomacy and receptivity are the theme for the coming month.
12:52am – Moon enters Libra. Our attention turns towards building lasting bonds in relationships. More forgiving and willing to compromise, find common ground. Talkative and fair, balance your emotional needs with others.
4:58am – Moon (Libra) square Mars (Capricorn) Disagreement arises when relationship needs (Libra) conflict with career goals (Capricorn). You may want to dominate or impose restrictions on your partner or others in general. If this happens, ask yourself, what am I trying to preserve? You’ll find the answer includes successful partnership with others. Therefore you need to incorporate diplomacy (Libra) into your ego (Mars). Learn to congratulate yourself when you successfully listen. With Sun and Jupiter in Libra, it’s very important the we remember success always includes other people.
9:54am – Moon conjunct Jupiter (Libra) Very expansive, positive, good feelings all around. A lot of talk, we need one to one contact now like a fish needs water.
5:11pm – Moon conjunct Sun (Libra). New Moon at 8d Libra. Revitalized and very much in harmony with one another. Lots of creative and artistic energy. Great for relationships, very creative and inspiring.
The quincunxs to Neptune. That means a lot of warmth and tenderness added to the mix this month, but also a lot of confusion and disappointment as we are forced to process collective disillusionment. That means we have to wade through all of the garbage that other people have failed to clean up in their own life, and not complain. Aspects create heightened sensitivity, awareness and psychic abilities that enable us to connect the disparate elements of our lives.
The squares to Mars and Pluto. That means a lot of personal struggle this month as we are forced to push ourselves even when we don’t want to. Easy to bump into one another. People are more shy and sensitive than usual (Libra) and will find it hard to stand up for themselves. One to one contact (Libra) takes on a domineering (Mars) and intense (Pluto) quality. It can make for problems in relationships. We really need to stop and force ourselves to listen to others this month.
The sextiles to Saturn will help stay the course and strike a balance between our career and emotional needs.
11:55pm – Moon (Libra) sextile Saturn (Sagittarius) We strike a balance between emotional needs and career goals. Good for relationships, they flow smoothly, more mature behavior.
Low energy. A relaxing, dreamy and impressionistic Saturday with Venus trine Neptune in water signs. The evening is great for a drum circle with Mercury opposition Chiron.
6:29am – Moon (Libra) square Pluto (Capricorn) Potential for conflict in relationships. Everything I said about Moon square Mars yesterday is amplified. Strong burst of energy. Beware of manipulative or vengeful feelings. Brings up ruthless behavior and isolationism.
10:14am – Venus (Scorpio) trine Neptune (Pisces) Find a nice place to relax because energy level is low, but you don’t mind. A good time to immerse yourself in water. Neptune dissolves the boundary between you and others (Venus) in a pleasant way (trine). You feel warm and compassionate towards most everyone you meet.
A good opportunity to indulge in fantasy and daydreaming, if you can get away with it. Pleasant thoughts bubble up from the subconscious and you feel more connected to everyone and everything, even animals. It feels really good. The psychic power is strong in both of these signs, so you could experience visions or impressions that may not seem significant, but could prove to be valuable insight.
Use your intuition (Neptune) to probe and heal (Scorpio) others (Venus). Lots of healing energy on this day. A good day for hugs all around. Alternative healing abilities such as Reiki or energy healing, aura cleansing, etc, are sure to be more powerful today.
Venus is your social urge and Scorpio is collective value, things that benefit society. With the trine to Neptune, engaging in socially conscientious activities have the added effect of giving you a very deep and lasting impression. Understand that while Venus is in Scorpio, we have added resources (Scorpio) for social (Venus) activities. This is a good opportunity to heal (Scorpio) indifference towards others.
8:00pm – approx. Mercury (Virgo) opposition Chiron (Pisces) Second time this month the universe asks us to send out a healing message. We communicate (Mercury) with helpful actions (Virgo) to heal (Chiron) humanity (Pisces). Good for telling stories with a healing message, or any sort of chanting or spiritual invocation. Excellent aspect for playing the drums or better yet, participating in a drum circle because it enables using the hands (Mercury) to connect to the collective (Pisces) in a healing way. Good opportunity to talk about healing and seeking ways to recuperate lost elements of self. Anything to use to voice or hands to heal.
10:43pm – Moon (Libra) opposition Uranus (Aires). Change, disruption breaks up stagnant energy, especially in relationships. Combative but it doesn’t last long. Confrontational and high minded. Willing to try something new. Avoid change for it’s own sake. Void of Course begins.
Another extended Void of Course lasts all day from late Saturday evening until Sunday afternoon. Good day for meditation and reflection, not a day for starting new projects. However, Mercury quincunx Uranus could bring some surprises.
11:00am – approx. Mercury (Virgo) quincunx Uranus (Aires) A bolt out of the blue disrupts our thinking process. We desire something to help us break free (Uranus) from the regular work routine (Virgo). We feel compelled to assist friends and others and obligate ourselves beyond our material resources. Uranus is adaptable, so this aspect can make us think we are more adaptable than we really are. This can lead to overestimating your flexibility and having an accident, or it can lead to impulsive driving habits. On the good side, inspirational, intellectual, you can radically change your thinking about some specific (Virgo) issue. Uranus delivers electrical energy to the conscious mind, so you can use that extra energy for positive goals.
12:43pm – Moon enters Scorpio. The Moon is like an iceberg in Scorpio, 90% below the surface. Easy to sense other people’s feelings. Can make people moody and intense, leads to jealousy and possessiveness. Good for home improvement.
8:27pm – Moon (Scorpio) sextile Mars (Capricorn) With Mars now in Capricorn, beneficial Moon to Mars aspects give us a great instinct for self-preservation and success.
Well I got a lot of good feedback on my recent video, Planets in Politics – End of September. At this point we are in a holding pattern until the next phase begins. How will they announce Hillary’s departure from the race? What happens to her gang? Who’s the replacement?
Introducing his chart. I am rather confident about this ascendant because if you look at his face, he has what photographers called a “wet face”, the emotions show through. That is always a close Moon – Ascendant aspect. And his uncontrollable, goofy smile is from the Moon quincunx Neptune. Let’s focus on his current transits.
Notice Pluto conjunct Mars, the last pass December 16th. His Mars is a peregrine, it has no natal aspects. Lacks an outlet. In private, he gets angry, impatient in a very domineering way. It is however, very exalted in Capricorn and the 10th house means he is destined to gain notoriety in this life. Pluto conjunct Mars is completely transforming his ego (Mars) and his career (Capricorn/10th house). It is also transforming his personality because he is an Aires rising, so what happens to Mars, happens to his Ascendant and therefore the whole chart. This transit is ripe for resolution. Add to that Jupiter and Sun about to come over the horizon, cusp of the 7th house, and it’s very likely to coincide with a sudden expansion in his life. Mars conjunct Midheaven is good for his career as well. All things considered, these transits give him high potential as replacement for Hillary.
He has terrible synastry with the chart of the USA. It all comes down to Saturn. His Mars (Capricorn) square USA Saturn. He’s not the kind of leader that America is accustomed to. His Saturn quincunx USA Mercury. Compulsion to limit America’s voice. His leadership style is unrecognizable to Americans who in turn give him no respect. And worst of all, his Saturn oppose USA Mars. He limits Americas direction, identity. He’s like a 3000 mile wide wet blanket over America. The polar opposite of Donald Trump. There is no way America legitimately elects this guy as President.
Pluto (Capricorn) square Chiron (Libra). I just notice and should have included it in my planets in politics video, but here it is now. This is rather disconcerting. This is a dangerous square.
The general interpretation of this transit is the forces of transformation, including the dark forces (Pluto) compel you to experience the wound (Chiron). It gives you a fascination with the dark side of life. It can bring very dark people into your life because it makes you gullible and unaware of the dark side of others. Causes deep suffering through broken trust, usually because you trust the wrong people. In this case it also includes going against his better judgment (Capricorn).
This transit could manifest as someone trying to assassinate him. At the least, someone he trusts betrays him, or some powerful, subversive attempt to remove him.
But that’s not all. Uranus square Saturn. Rebellion against restrictions. This is a “take this job and shove it” kind of transit. It makes any restriction seem unbearable. The purpose is to let go of restrictions that are no longer useful. The bad side is restless and desire to change for the sake of change. On a holistic level, it helps you incorporate more adaptability into your structure, your profession. It brings a challenge to your structure, a crisis to adapt. It can force you to change suddenly and cause you break out of your safe and secure routine, possibly doing something against your better judgment. Overall this is not a particularly bad transit, beside the restless tendency. It does not help the other transit though.
Given all of these transits and what is happening with Hillary, this leads me to believe that some event is being planned to take one or both of them out of the race.
That’s all for this week. Thanks for viewing Planets in Politics – Weekly Astrology Notes. Please leave comments.
