Weekly Astrology Notes November 13-20, 2016
Notes: Times shown in Pacific Standard Time (PST).
Weekly Summary: Sunday evening we have the Super Full Moon. It’s exact early Monday morning followed by a long Void of Course. Best to stay home during this months’ emotional crisis. Tuesday we have Mercury sextile Mars and it’s a great day for new ideas and getting in touch with the emerging social consciousness. Wednesday we have another long Void of Course, time to search for more information, meditate and think things over, not start any new projects. Thursday is a day to stay in your shell and keep yourself protected. Mercury square Neptune on Friday makes for a confusing day with mixed messages. Not a good day for business. On Saturday, Venus sextile Neptune stimulates the imagination and Neptune goes Direct. We end the week with a mellow Sunday.
Super Full Moon this evening.
8:58am – Moon (Taurus) sextile Neptune (Pisces) Very psychic and sensual. Very mellow mood on Sunday morning.
6:45pm – Moon (Taurus) trine Pluto (Capricorn) Emotions are expressed with passion and control. Very honorable and protective, able to really give of yourself towards another.
Super Full Moon in effect on Sunday evening.
Super Full Moon happening early in the morning followed by a long Void of Course. Best to stay home during this months’ emotional crisis.
5:52am – Moon (Taurus) opposition Sun (Scorpio) Super Full Moon. The closest the Moon has been to earth since 1948. Won’t occur again until 2034. Void of Course begins, continues until early evening. Very sensitive with low tolerance for pain. Manipulative displays such as a dramatic expression of pain in order to get what you want. Defiance against authority and resentment towards those who don’t tolerate your control game or try to control you. Romantic partnerships face a challenge regarding things owned in common (Scorpio) and from unrealistic demands.
If your life lacks creative outlet, you may feel that the world does not give you the necessary emotional support, feel like the world is against you. May react by going against authority and your own better judgment. Very important to examine your own inner motivations before expecting others to agree with you.
With this Full Moon, we will see the usual dramatic release of energy amplified considerably. It would be best to remain in a safe place Sunday and Monday evenings. The quantity of emotional energy ready for release, especially since the election, is enormous. Be aware of that. Many will be tempted to explore the dark side of Scorpio, meaning drugs and sexual indiscretion, chaos. Be wary of questionable characters.
Self-control by way of self-containment is necessary in order to incorporate the transformative energy of Pluto into your emotional foundation without creating problems. It feels like a volcano going off inside of you that you must harness, not release chaotically. You can have a profound healing experience if you contain the energy. If you release the energy chaotically, then you loose the quality of the experience.
Despite the strong need for emotional fulfillment, it can be difficult emotionally letting someone into your life. The need to maintain your own position of power, and the need to maintain secrecy, inhibits you from merging with the collective. Because of this, it really is not a good time to be around large groups of people. This Full Moon is best dealt with in a private setting where you can let down your guard a bit and allow yourself to feel the best and worst of your own emotions. Sometimes the chaos comes at you in the form of violence. There are a lot of protests regarding the recent election here in the USA, so this Full Moon could amplify that.
The long Void of Course means it’s not a good day for starting new projects. A good day for keeping to yourself a bit more than usual, try meditation and soul searching or playing a supportive role in your partners life.
Here’s a couple of good links to read a bit more about it.
5:32pm – Moon enters Gemini. Moon enters an active phase, lots of communication, quick travel, tightening up loose ends. But emotional energy dissipates easily in these activities. Slow down to avoid restlessness.
Mercury sextile Mars and it’s a great day for new ideas and getting in touch with the emerging social conscience.
12:25am – Moon (Gemini) trine Mars (Aquarius) Lots of physical energy in the middle of the night.
7:53am – Moon (Gemini) square Neptune (Pisces). Rather confusing with Moon in its’ death cycle square Neptune. Really easy to deceive yourself, give in to illusions and fears. Talking (Gemini) really helps to collect yourself.
9:23am – Mercury (Sagittarius) sextile Mars (Aquarius) Lots of mental activity. Mars in Aquarius is known to have a sharp mind and the sextile from Mercury should really enhance that quality. Aspect is excellent for any mental task or activity. A good day for communication (Mercury) and seeking anything stimulating (Mars) and electric (Aquarius). Both Aquarius and Sagittarius are concerned with what is new and expanding in awareness. So folks are very curious, willing to explore new ideas, able to make a good impression on others, eager to make friends and get along well with others. All of this because our mind (Mercury) is working in harmony (sextile) with our ego (Mars).
This day is characterized as one of hope and optimism (Sagittarius), with new ideas emerging into the social consciousness (Aquarius) and everyone thinking about the new opportunities that are now possible. With Mercury in Sagittarius, it’s an abundance of ideas. You may want to keep a notepad to write them all down. Everyone should have a good idea about how they want to get ahead in life on this day. Excellent day for business.
On a political level, a day for developing new alliances that help us take advantage of the emerging social conscience (Aquarius). People are really curious about what is about to change politically, so we’re likely see a lot of political news about appointments and what new opportunities will come with the new administration.
3:35pm – Moon (Gemini) trine Jupiter (Libra) Nice Moon aspect to accompany the previous. Very positive mood. Air signs so we’re intellectual and non-stop talking. Good for business negotiations.
6:34pm – Moon (Gemini) opposition Saturn (Sagittarius) Emotions slow down a bit as we sense a need for self-control like we need to conserve energy for a later time. Eat a warm meal.
Wednesday we have another long Void of Course, time to search for more information, meditate and think things over, not start any new projects.
2:57am – Moon (Gemini) sextile Uranus (Aires). Looking for a change to stimulate your mind in the middle of the night. Another long Void of Course begins, continues until early evening. You get the feeling that whatever you do today will have to be done over again soon. Not a good day to start new projects, especially with the Moon in its’ death cycle in Gemini.
4:57pm – Moon enters Cancer. People close in a bit and get more in touch with their home, their instincts and their emotional needs. Good time for cooking.
A day to stay in your shell and keep yourself protected.
3:11am – Moon (Cancer) opposition Venus (Capricorn) Middle of the night.
8:05am – Moon (Cancer) trine Neptune (Pisces) Rather sensitive on Thursday morning, not interested in work or obligation. Prefer to relax and observe the subtle impressions in the mind.
4:50pm – Moon (Cancer) square Jupiter (Libra) The need to think big makes for poor judgment. Insecurities (Cancer) about relationships (Libra) may arise. Try not to eat too much!
6:39pm – Moon (Cancer) opposition Pluto (Capricorn) This aspect is reminiscent of the recent Full Moon with Sun in Scorpio. Again we see manipulative or overly dramatic displays to get what you want along with the danger of allowing disreputable people into your life. Very important to keep up your personal barrier at moments like this. Self-restraint is necessary.
A confusing day with mixed messages. Not a good day for business.
4:10am – Moon (Cancer) square Uranus (Aires) Argumentative for no apparent reason. Too much chaos for the Moon. Easy to severe emotional bonds.
8:04am – Mercury (Sagittarius) square Neptune (Pisces) A time of confusion and misunderstanding. This aspect creates a crisis to overcome limitations to your thinking and communication. Mercury rules the conscious mind, Neptune is like an ocean. Easy to loose your sense of proportion, think everything is great when it’s not. Very idealistic (Sagittarius) and not at all realistic (Pisces) thinking is common with this aspect. The mind looses its’ practical limits. Mental activity increases. You want to mentally surround every task. Nothing to put the brakes on thinking. Easy to be deluded or to feel victimized because the mind is open to a multitude of subtle impressions that may seem contradictory. Easy to pick up on others’ thoughts and misinterpret them. The tendency is to overcompensate out of fear or clinging to some idealistic notion that you can’t seem to let go of.
This aspect is good for study of spiritual or esoteric subjects because the mind expands so easily.
Be care not to deceive others, even if you think it’s for their own good. It’s a difficult aspect, but remember Neptune squares are where we do our spiritual work. So you may have to suffer through other peoples’ mental inadequacies and they may have to do the same for you. The crisis to overcome limitations to our thinking means we make little missteps in those areas we typically tend to overlook and take for granted.
Not a good day to settle an argument, folks are too shy and defensive for that. And actually, people are are too much in need of expressing compassion to engage in anything unsettling. Be careful while driving, aspect causes little mental errors, false assumptions that could lead to an accident.
On a geopolitical level, because this aspect happens so close to Neptune Direct, it is in effect during the Neptune Direct period, which lasts until June 2017. This means we have to be extra careful of deception on a mass scale. More about this at the end of this video.
2:02pm – Moon (Cancer) trine Sun (Scorpio). This aspect should lighten the load a bit as we get a burst (Scorpio) of creative (Sun) energy. Void of Course begins.
7:14pm – Moon enters Leo. Emotions on display. Good for romance and other creative endeavors. Spend time with your children and/or attend to your hobbies. Great for weekend activities.
Venus sextile Neptune stimulates the imagination and Neptune goes Direct.
8:48am – Moon (Leo) opposition Mars (Aquarius) Feeling a bit headstrong on a Saturday morning. Lots of physical energy, you’ll want to go outside, feel liberated.
3:00pm – Moon (Leo) trine Mercury (Sagittarius) Mentally stimulating and creative. Positive outlook on life.
3:04pm – Venus (Capricorn) sextile Neptune (Pisces). Rigid Venus in Capricorn sees an opportunity to fantasize. Aspect stimulates the imagination, we prefer beautiful surroundings. Also stimulates psychic ability through enhanced sensing of subtle impressions and patterns. In Capricorn, we seek the perfect setting that preserves our sense of continuity in life. Idealistic and romantic, artistic and sublime. Venus now seeks a perfect expression of love and is willing to apply a sincere effort to help the disadvantaged.
Relationships are ready for a bit of fantasy or surrounding yourselves in music, art and beauty. New relationships that begin at this time are dreamy and romantic, in Capricorn, also practical as well.
Typically this aspect has only good connotations. Neptune is the higher vibration of Venus and the sextile produces a wonderful affinity (Venus) for fantasy, dreams, even psychic abilities along with a lot of compassion and tenderness. It is a very soft aspect that can make you a bit lazy and not concerned with work. However, in Capricorn, the dreamy element of this aspect is lessened considerably by a need for self-control and conservative values. We hold an idyllic (Pisces) notion of what is most important (Capricorn) in life.
On a geopolitical level, what emerges now is a balanced and diplomatic (Venus) notion of conservative (Capricorn) values applied universally (Pisces). This aspect encourages us to reach out and help the underprivileged (Pisces). This is typical of the Capricorn to Pisces sextile.
The fact that this aspect occurs right on the Neptune Direct tells us a lot about what this Neptune Direct period has in store for us. This need to preserve the continuity of society by creating a more stable (Capricorn) world that includes everyone (Pisces) is a major theme of this time.
8:39pm – Neptune goes Direct. At 9d15′ Pisces, continues Direct until June 16, 2017 at 14d16′ Pisces. It’s time to express your illusions and beliefs outwardly. Only this time I suspect there is a lot more than usual. Analysis at the end of this video.
9:44pm – Moon (Leo) sextile Jupiter (Libra) Great aspect for relationships and any one to one meetings. Openhearted (Jupiter) and diplomatic (Libra).
Another mellow Sunday.
12:36am – Moon (Leo) trine Saturn (Sagittarius) Middle of the night.
9:08am – Moon (Leo) trine Uranus (Aires) Looking for a creative outlet, something surprising.
Neptune Direct: Illusions play an important role in our perception of reality. When Neptune goes Direct, typically we see this as a time of outward expression of our illusions, and coincidentally also our beliefs. After all, Pisces says “I believe” and it also rules illusions. With this facts alone, astrology teaches us an important lesson about life. Over the course of the retrograde period we have been examining our beliefs, realizing that many of them are really just superstitions. Now during Direct motion we express our now modified beliefs outwardly. This is not always a good thing because the time of introspection has been beneficial and now we express our beliefs with more certainty, even if they are still just illusions. That’s because most of what we consider to be faith and beliefs is really just illusions and superstitions. Neptune is the final dispositor, like the garbage bag of the zodiac. That’s why these things end up in Pisces. But really, 90% of what is in Pisces or our 12th house should not be there, it just got dumped there. One of the main goals of therapy and healing is to clear out the 12th house and remove things that don’t belong there. That’s an important lesson about life that astrology teaches us.
Two of the planetary aspects happening close to the moment of Direct are Venus sextile Neptune and Mercury square Neptune. Venus (Capricorn) sextile Neptune means we’re concerned about preserving continuity and creating a more stable and inclusive world. But Mercury (Sagittarius) square Neptune means we have to be extra careful of deception on a mass scale.**Special Note: Chart of the USA Constitution faces Neptune opposition Mercury on March 7, 2017. Watch out for deception America!** It’s really important to scrutinize what our leaders are telling us now more than ever. They will be lying, they always do, but the issue we have to contend with personally is the way our own beliefs (Pisces) limit what we understand (Sagittarius).
Here is a couple of good links.
On a geopolitical level, this Direct motion period will coincide with other events related to Pisces. Saturn (Sagittarius) square Chiron (Pisces) coming up next month. Saturn unearths things from the past, in this case the pain and suffering of the innocent. Revelations of mass child abuse come to the surface. Pay special attention to the alleged pedophile ring that includes many political power players like John Podesta. Stuff like this is ready to be brought to light. Check out these links. And all of this weirdness trending now on the web about “spirit cooking” is just the beginning of many more similar revelations to come.
And interestingly Neptune conjunct the South Node is happening on 11/18. A powerful aspect that dissolves the past. We let go of old, worn out beliefs (Pisces) and reclaim lost elements of ourselves. We have an opportunity to heal the past and the karma that you brought with you into this life (South Node). In this process we develop more compassion and sensitivity towards others. And it happens in a collective (Pisces) way.
This could be a moment of suffering and disappointment for many who have a hard time letting go. It is the end of an era associated with a particular belief system. Interesting to note is that this aspect also indicates a high degree of psychic ability, so you may be more sensitive than usual this month.
A whole new paradigm is taking shape and will be revealed about this time. The confluence of major aspects is sure to produce fundamental changes in the world power structure. You can be sure this is all planned by the powerful elite, but we cannot ignore the personal effect of these times. When the foundations of society change, so do you, whether you like it or not. So it’s important to stay ahead of the energy and see what’s coming.
The backbone of this configuration is Uranus opposition Jupiter. This aspect will herald a fundamental change (Uranus) to our perspective (Jupiter). A new set of more enlightened ideals become reality while uncovering difficult elements of our past along the way. It is my hope that we see some revelations regarding the powerful elite and what they do in secret. Let’s hope for something really big revelations of extra-terrestrial life on the Moon and Mars. A strong likelihood that new technology will be revealed at this time.
Jupiter sextile Mars and Mars trine Sun on 11/19. It looks like they are ready to make a bold move. They dumped a lot of US Treasuries recently during Jupiter conjunct Mercury and semi-sextile Saturn (8th house). Look for them to be invigorated this week while making new agreements (7th house). With Mars in Aquarius trine Sun coincidentally, they get their way in diplomatic affairs.
Jupiter conjunct Saturn on 11/19. Wonderful. Expansion (Jupiter) of structure (Saturn). In the 5th house so it’s sure to mean an expansion of creative energy as well. It is a positive an uplifting transit that makes you want to let go of old restrictions, clean out the barn, so to speak and embark on a new (Jupiter) era of leadership (Saturn). In fact the aspect Jupiter conjunct Saturn in the birth chart is the mark of the leader. So it should coincide with a moment of good leadership and general approval from the rest of the world.
